Training for an Active
Independent Life

Bespoke personal training for women that helps you get fitter, stronger, and healthier in a way that feels realistic and supportive.

I offer expert personal training with gentle encouragement, understanding that exercise does not look the same for everyone. Not everyone loves the gym, feels confident working out, or wants intense early-morning sessions. Every session is designed around you.

Training can include weights, mobility, stretching, and cardio, depending on your goals, preferences, and current fitness level. My approach is individually tailored and completely judgement-free. You will never be asked to do anything that does not feel right for you.

About Me

I qualified as a personal trainer after coming to exercise late in life, much to the surprise of many people who know me. I hated PE at school, got out of it as often as I could and never did any exercise again for years.

I felt like I didn’t belong in fitness spaces, I didn’t “look” like someone that should be there. That changed when I joined a bootcamp with some friends and found that strength training in small groups was actually really fun, and that feeling better as a result was not a myth!

My negative experiences of the past shape everything that I do today. I work 1:1 and in small groups with women who are complete beginners, women who feel nervous and self-conscious, women who have tried before and not found their place and those who love to train but don’t enjoy intimidating gym culture.

I love it when my clients tell me that they can now turn their mattress without having to ask for help, shift furniture when they want to rearrange the living room on a whim and carry heavy stuff in from the car. This independence is what we are aiming for long into our older years and the preparation for that starts now. This isn’t training for a quick fix, this is training for longevity to support an active, busy life now, and an independent and healthy life in the future.

I want all my clients to feel safe, comfortable, supported and happy whilst they are training with me. It is important to me that clients have a lovely time in their sessions, leaving each one feeling positive and empowered and looking forward to the next one.

Pre & Post Natal

I’m also qualified in Pre and Post Natal Training, supporting women through active pregnancies and helping them to return to comfortable and confident movement after their baby is born. I am empathetic and kind in all my training but especially so in this area as pregnancy can be tough for lots of reasons.

Exercise Referral

I hold the Exercise Referral Qualification too, meaning I can work with people who have chronic health conditions, such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, lower back pain, mental health conditions and more. I have experience in supporting neurodiverse clients and will adjust the environment, my training style and communications to suit wherever I can.

What I Offer

  • 1:1 Personal Training

Fully personalised sessions built around your goals, your life, and your pace.

  • Online Training

Bespoke personalised training but in the comfort of your own home, wherever that is in the world.

  • Introduction to Strength Training Course

This course teaches the foundations of strength training for complete beginners over a period of 6 weeks. You’ll learn the exercises and perfect your form to avoid injury, learn how to warm up and cool down properly and how to stretch afterwards. This course will give you the confidence to go to the gym and use the equipment there, or to carry on at home yourself. Nutrition support is also available if required. This course can be delivered in person at my studio in Crowborough or online.

  • Small Group Training

Train with your friends! This can be a great way to train, socialise and be motivated by your circle. Financially this is less of a commitment than PT, but with the same personalised attention. This can be in groups of 2 or 3 people.

  • Pre and Post Natal Training

Specialist support to keep safely active throughout your pregnancy and after the birth of your baby.

  • Beginners & Returners

For anyone who's never trained before, or tried and not found their footing yet. You'll find it here.

  • Classes

I run two weekly classes at Isfield Village Hall on Monday at 13:45 and Thursday at 9:00. There are currently spaces available in the Monday class and newcomers of all abilities are warmly welcomed. Please get in touch for more details.
